Terms of Use

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Welcome to ndvi.us. By using this website you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language on purpose — please read them.

1. What the service is

ndvi.us is a free tool that displays vegetation index (NDVI) maps computed from European Space Agency Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, together with general crop advisory information and educational articles. The service is provided free of charge and without registration.

2. Informational use only — no agronomic guarantee

Satellite-derived maps and any advisory text on this site are informational aids, not professional agronomic, financial, or legal advice. NDVI values can be affected by clouds, haze, soil background, growth stage, and other factors described in our blog. Always verify conditions in the field and consult a qualified agronomist before making significant decisions about irrigation, fertilization, crop protection, or purchases. You use the information at your own risk, and we accept no liability for losses arising from decisions based on this site.

3. Data sources

Imagery is derived from the EU Copernicus programme's Sentinel-2 mission via the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem, under the Copernicus free and open data policy. Base maps and geocoding are provided by third-party services subject to their own terms. We do not guarantee the availability, frequency, or accuracy of any satellite data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: overload or disrupt the service with automated bulk requests; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the system; use the service for unlawful surveillance of land you have no legitimate interest in; or resell access to the service as your own product without permission.

5. Your content

Field boundaries you draw are stored locally in your own browser. We do not claim ownership of your field data.

6. Advertising

This site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Ads are labeled as such. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and how to control personalization.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, code, and original articles are © Shahzaib Irshad. You may quote brief excerpts of our articles with attribution and a link. Copernicus Sentinel data is subject to its own open license terms.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" and may change, pause, or end at any time without notice. We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
